Father's Day Shrimp Cocktail

In a comment on the previous entry Son #2 reminded me of the Shrimp, crab and coconut milk cocktail he prepared for Father's Day dinner. This isn't a very good picture of it but man, it was delicious. I don't have the recipe but it had a real kick and the play between the hot of the serranos and sweet of the coconut milk was simply amazing. Looking at the picture and trying to deconstruct what I see, I'm guessing it has green onion, cilantro, serrano, something lighter green maybe some celery, crab, shrimp and coconut milk. Proportions? You'll have to try it on your own. Sure is nice to have a chef in the family who thinks up these amazing recipes.

It looks fantastic - thanks for remembering this one, I think I'll play around with a recipe & let you know how it turns out.

coconut milk, lime juice, tomato, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, chile serrano, finely grated fresh ginger root (this is what gives the dish it's zing) and cooked seafood of your choice. s & p of course. combine and refridgerate. optional....drizzle with olive oil when serving. #2

#2, thanks for the "recipe." It was delicious and I'll give it a try as soon as I can find coconut milk here in SMA.
