Rock Concert

Antone's, the home of the blues in Austin has been around for 34 years. This morning we drove to Austin for a rock concert at Antone's. You know Austin is certainly the home of Texas music so there are lots of musicians who have come out of Austin and probably played at Antone's. It wasn't Jimmie Vaughan that we went to see today. He will be appearing tonight.
It was grandson Maxwell that we went to see. He has been playing the drums for less than a year and he loves, loves, loves them. He has been to Rock Band Camp for the last two weeks. The camp is run by Austin School of Music and they divide the children into bands. The camp culminates with all the bands giving a concert at Antone's.
Maxwell was rocking and so were we. I may be his grandmother but he is very good. Really!

And look at that 5D2 performing right along side of Maxwell...

Frank, the 5D2 did alright in the dark. I kicked it up to 6400 ISO at one point. Now that gets too noisy for me. Just wish I would have had a better position to get a shot of him. If I walked on stage I think it would have freaked him out. He was either hidden by the kids in the band or by the cymbols. I played with the white balance and this seemed to be the best balance although still pretty warm.
