A Little Dusting

It is so easy for the studio/office to get messy. When I'm working I need something from a tub, prints are spread out on the table, then a box of paper doesn't get put back into the right stack. Something new is bought and it gets squeezed into an open spot. I know, you are getting the idea that I'm not a neatnik. At any rate my shelving was overflowing. So were the file cabinets. And add to all of that DUST especially this time of year. I keep things in cabinets, covered plastic tubs or boxes but then the outside of them gets so dusty that I don't want to touch them. Of course when you get into them that just stirs up the dust and you get it inside the container.

You can dust twice a day and still find dust on the dining room table. The rainy season is still three months away. I bought a big box of the swiffer dusters to try to stay on top of the dust. They are great but the problem is that there is so much dust that the big box won't last long. So other than using them for the computer and printer everyday, I doubt that I'll use them for general cleaning.

The new computer inspired a cleaning binge this weekend. The desk, the file cabinet, the shelving have been worked on. I can't say I've reached perfection but it is a hell of a lot better than it was a week ago.

I get a lot of dust as well. Sounds like you get way more dust than over here. Can't you cover the boxed things with a sheet or something. Have a great Wednesday.
