We are looking forward to the San Miguel Festival this next weekend and I've been thinking how much she would have loved being here in the middle of it all.
This is a personal blog where I will be writing about family, photography, cooking, gardening, living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and growing older. And maybe anything else that happens to interest me. You've been warned...but feel free to read along.

I'm so sorry for your great loss. I know what it's like when you have family activities and you wish that loved one could be there to enjoy. Sending prayers your way!
Billie, your sister is beautiful. I'm sorry for your sadness today, but look at her, she is smiling at you.
Billie,
Mi más sentido pésame but, I think she is sitting on one of your shoulders seeing San Miguel and the festival too. I lost a nephew at the age of seventeen. When I see vistas of the beautiful northwest, I often think. Antonio, hope you are seeing with my eyes all this beauty. I think he is and I think your sister is too. I bet she has eaten with you chiles in nogada but, she did not make any noise.
Dear Billie, your stories about your sister brought back memories to me. Surprisingly, I had a sister Margaret, too. She died from cancer 20 years ago. It was a melanoma that metastasized.
She was one of a set of twins a year younger than me. We were not as close as you with your sister but I miss her.
Bill O.
