Sixteen days after I wrote that we had made a decision and we were putting our house in Houston on the market, we are under a Sales Contract with a closing date of June 1. Yikes! We don't have any regrets but we are surprised that it all happened so fast. The house in Houston is unusual and we knew that it would take a special buyer. Well, they showed up sooner rather than later. We aren't counting our chickens yet. They have an option period where they can get out of the contract but I think it is all going to happen.
Now we just have to figure out how we are going to get rid of all our stuff in the house. I dread all the work for the next six weeks but I'm excited about all the doors this opens for us. So as my blogging friend Juan Calypso says, "Stay tuned!" Who knows what these crazy old gringos might do next.

Congratulations!! That was quick wasn't it. Our place has been listed with the real estate for 10 days now, hope we have the same luck as you.
Have fun with your sorting and packing and throwing. We have both been sick ever since we returned from Mexico; but have managed to sort through almost everything in the house. We are not taking hardly anything back with us, only what will fit in the car so it has been a big job. Still have lots of sorting to do in the outside buildings though, it's a big job! Enjoy.
