This is a personal blog where I will be writing about family, photography, cooking, gardening, living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and growing older. And maybe anything else that happens to interest me. You've been warned...but feel free to read along.

I agree, the colors found at the panteon are lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks surrounded by altars and cempaxuchitl on Dia de Muertos.
Just as we remember. Can't wait to return.
I LOVE that everything doesn't have to be perfect as with the twist ties in the first photo. Joy to the world that we have Mexico.
Billie, do you just walk the road behind Los Bisquits and in front of
Real de Minas hotel to find this cemetery? We walked to the San Juan de Dios cemetery yesterday, but the only gate I saw on San Antonio Abad was locked, with not a sign of anything at all happening within--no flowers or shrines to be seen.
Tina, yes the large cemetery is the road behind Los Bisquits. The cemetery at the San Juan de Dios church is only open one day. I don't know if it will be tomorrow or Monday. It has been 3 years since I went there and they decorated it in the morning and opened it in the afternoon. I don't know what the plan will be this year.
Thanks Billie! We'll make a point of journeying
to the large one tomorrow morning.
