It looks like we are starting a Saturday morning tradition of the Urban Harvest Farmer's Market on Eastside just off Richmond and then finding an out of the way breakfast spot. I know, two Saturdays in a row may be a pretty short tradition but at least it is a start. Today was Langford's Grocery at 88 Dennis. They are famous for their burgers but they make a pretty good breakfast as well. You can eat inside at the oil cloth covered tables that tilt along with the floor or you can try the outside tables. I like to eat outside but need a little more shade.
They aren't just any burger joint. Many people in Houston consider them the #1 burger place in town. Recently Guy Fiere, host of the Food Network's program Diners, Drive-ins and Dives filmed an episode in Houston and included a session at Langford. I don't know when it is going to air but I'm looking forward to seeing it.
