I took the camera out for practice today and see what she found. I don't make this stuff up. I just wish the car would have been clean.

This is a personal blog where I will be writing about family, photography, cooking, gardening, living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and growing older. And maybe anything else that happens to interest me. You've been warned...but feel free to read along.

Billie, that's a stunner. Gorgeous.

I just love the color combinations to be found in Mexico. Great photo!
Great photo. There are bunches of old dirty autos in Honduras, but I could never capture it quite like you can. Bravo.
I love the colors too. I think it's better that the car wasn't clean. You caught it as is. Great shot.
Great shot bud. And yes, if the car had only had a wash beforehand. Weren't you tempted to grab a bucket and sponge and do the boot, just to get him started... :)
Thanks to all of you. Gary, as a matter of fact, I did think about washing the back end of the car.
Billie, I wouldn't worry about the photos if I were you. You will do just fine. Remember the last post, don't focus on perfection, just on doing, experiencing and learning. This isn't a contest against others, it's a challenge for one's self. Good luck with the SoFoBoMo project.
Robert, you are exactly 100% right. All I gotta do is keep taking the camera for a walk.
I like it the way it is. The dust on the trunk echoes the texture of the purple walls. Even the bird splat has complementary tones in the lower left of the photograph.
I like this a lot.
Oh, no, the car needs to be dirty, with that white bird doo splotch. Otherwise, it's not Mexico.
Here in San Carlos there's a purple house, and it's the scourge of the neighborhood. I went to a party next door to it and all I heard was complaints. Of course, it was a gringo party and a gringo neighborhood.
We gringos tend to want to mind everyones business even down to telling someone what color to paint their house. I wish we would leave that trait at the border.
HI Billie,
This shot is really an eye catcher! I really like the way the red pops right out of it! Just wanted to you to know also that We Bloom Girls just passed a Blog Award on to you and you can pick it up over on our site at
