San Miguel de Allende Celebrates

At 9:00 PM fireworks were set off from every church in the city and all of the church bells were ringing. There was to be an announcement this evening on whether San Miguel was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The answer had to have been a YES!

There was no way to capture this event for you but trust me, it was thrilling to watch from our terrace.

I got an e-mail that the answer was indeed "Yes!". There were also fireworks in Atotonilco...and the dogs are still under my feet. Unfortunatley, nothing yet on the UNESCO web site...

What great news for San Miguel. And what a party it was!
