Here in Mexico, they call this plant Madre Mala or Bad Mother plant because the mother plant throws the babies out.

I have always known it as the "Spider plant".
I, too have always known it as spider plant but I really like Madre Mala.
Is this the same Mala Madre plant that is used for Medicinal purpose in Latin American countries?.
