1524

This post makes the 1524th post to Billieblog since March 2005 when I created it. I can't believe that I could have found 1524 things to blog about or that I am starting on the 7th year of blogging. Blogging has been good to me. I've met a lot of wonderful people through the blog. Some of them only through cyber-space but I've met an amazing number of them face to face. Still when I introduce myself to someone and they ask, "Are you Billieblog?" I'm all flustered and surprised.

So here is a cheer to another year of blogging.

Congratulations on your milestone. You were one of the first bloggers that I met online all those years ago and you always write interesting posts.
Heres to many more years of blogging.

Well, my dear, if it weren't for you I would never have started blogging. You've been an inspiration and now, even a dear friend! How wonderful.

I follow your sentiments. Blogging has enriched my life in ways I couldn't have imagined with new friends, expanding horizons and lots of great reading.

Keep on blogging.......

I think yours was the first mexican blog I started reading. I have been to SMA twice with my husband and son so reading yours and Babs blogs keeps me somewhat connected there. I have enjoyed your photography and keeping up with what is going on with you and your husband. My father in law was also diagnosed with lung cancer around the same time as Ned and has been treated at MD Anderson in Houston as well. So there has been a parallel there. He is still alive. He opted for a strong dose of radiation at first and this was successful but with strong side effects. He was just recently diagnosed with more cancer to his lymph nodes and is now back in Houston for an extended stay for chemo and radiation until early May. Anyways I have shared with my husband your struggles and experiences to pass on to his parents. You have been in my prayers and not known it. Thanks for the many "ways" your blog has reached me and enriched me. Jan in Mississippi

Congratulations! You are a mentor of mine as well. It can be tough to keep at it but the rewards are great. Every time I see a new post from you I get excited, will it be a new recipe? a tidbit from your life? wonderful photos? Thank you for all the posts in the past and for the anticipation of the posts to come.

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement.

Jan, a special thanks to you. Your note is one of the special benefits that comes from my blog. I so hope and pray for a good result for your father in law.

Jonna, there are times when I'm just not in the mood to write but I sure am glad that I've met people like you and Mimi.

Barbara, I don't know how I ever got to be a mentor to anyone. If I know how to do something, it is fun to tell someone else how to do
it and let them build on it.

From one Billie to another, I've so enjoyed reading your blog over the past 2 years when I first found it. My connection is in Zirahuen, & my love of cooking, and while I wait to finally make my exit from Seattle to Michoacan, reading blogs such as yours keep me in the loop, and yearning for more! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your stores.
