Night Lights #8

Rockefeller Center doesn't have anything on Houston. Houston has it's own giant tree in front of City Hall.

And while Rockefeller Center has a skating rink in front of their tree, we have a reflection pond. Houston's Christmas ice skating rink is located somewhere else. It is a marvel to me that they can keep ice on that rink since during this time of the year, Houston can have 40 degree weather one day and the next it could be  80 degrees.

We have an outside ice rink/swimming pool* in the Zocalo again this December.

*depending upon the state of the electricity supply on the day you visit.

I'd love to see the rink in DF. In my mind it is even stranger than the one in Houston.

It is a bizarre sight. I did have a go once, the first year they put it up. The queues in subsequent years put me off. I'm sure I'll get a photo or two before it closes.

Good, I'd love to see the skating rink/pool (whichever it is that day)
