Tuesday's Weather

Tuesday morning we woke up to rain....much needed rain. Houston is 11 inches below the average rainfall for this time of year. We had a great view of the clouds rolling in from the 13th floor.

The rain brought a nighttime haze so we didn't have as good a view of the new moon. Still I liked the atmospheric feeling of humidity. I should have changed lenses to bring that new moon closer but I didn't. Can you see the moon? It is the white dot hanging to the right of center in the middle of the picture. I liked looking at the moon from our terrace here in Houston and thinking that it was also shining on our terrace in San Miguel.

Ahh and the sun has finally come out in Vancouver and I'll look for the moon tonight and know that yu and Ned are looking at it too. What a lovely thought!
Miss you...........

nice contrast between the built environment of the lower part of the photo and the natural environment of the top.
Good mood, too.

I agree with DanaJ -- nice contrast. I also think I see the color pallet of the 5D2 at play here. That cloud pix has a different feeling to it, one I recognize in my own images. Glad you have the rain and we have the sun -- nice exchange -- we've had five weeks of rain.

Pitchertaker, there is a color difference in color from the 5D2. I think it is more neutral right out of the camera. We had one morning of rain and then right back to the drought. It is HOT.

Ahh the moon lst night was so bright here now that the clouds are gone that it called me outside and I thought of you and Ned - I DID feel a wee bit closer to you. You are in my thoughts!
