Contrasts

I've written before about the drive along the Rio Grande in Nuevo Laredo and looking at the differences from one side of the river to the other. I know of someone that blames all the differences on the policies of the USA but I think it is more complex than that and that some of it dates back to the Spanish conquest. But whatever the reasons, here is a link to an article in the New York Times today that contrasts one woman's life on each side of the border.
